ST. LOUIS, MO – July 2, 2025 – Protests Planned at Three Children's Hospitals Under FBI Investigations for Harms from Gender Interventions

A broad coalition of concerned organizations and individuals announces peaceful protests at three children’s hospitals currently under FBI investigation for harming trans identified minors. These demonstrations, scheduled for July 2, 2025, will take place at Boston Children’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital Colorado in Denver, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to demand accountability and the protection of vulnerable children from irreversible medical procedures.

“It's a tragedy that it took an FBI investigation for these hospitals to even consider doing the right thing for children,” said Lauren Leggieri, Co-Executive Director of the LGB Courage Coalition. “We cannot stand by while children are subjected to experimental procedures with lifelong consequences. We commend Attorney General Bondi and the FBI for their investigations and invite all concerned citizens to join us in demanding transparency and accountability from these institutions.”

The protests are in response to a National Review report detailing the FBI’s investigation into these hospitals, prompted by Attorney General Pam Bondi’s directive to enforce federal statutes against female genital mutilation (FGM) and President Trump’s executive order protecting children from gender-transition procedures. Data from the watchdog group Do No Harm reveals that these hospitals have performed hundreds of gender-transition surgeries and prescribed thousands of sex change-related medications to minors between 2019 and 2023.

"As a parent in Colorado whose child was secretly transitioned at school, I've seen firsthand the devastating impact these protocols have on families," said Erin Lee, a concerned parent from Colorado. "Our children deserve protection, not irreversible medical interventions driven by ideology."

The coalition stands firmly against harmful gender interventions on minors. We echo the concerns raised by detransitioners and growing research questioning the efficacy and ethics of these procedures. Our protests aim to amplify the voices of those harmed by such practices and to call for evidence-based, child-centered policies that prioritize long-term well-being over ideological agendas.
